Welcome to ISA Discount Broker

If you know what type of investment ISA you require then you can save money by investing through an ISA discount broker. An ISA discount broker will not offer you advice on your ISA purchase.

Instead, they will rebate the initial commission on your new ISA back into the plan to add to its value. This has the effect of reducing the ISA initial charge and therefore more of your money is invested day one. The rebates do vary but anything between 1% and 5% can be possible depending on the ISA investment company you choose.

The individual savings account (ISA) was launched by the government to encourage people to save for the future. It is effectively a tax-efficient wrapper in which you can hold either stock market-based investments or a traditional savings account.

Any person who is 18 or over and is normally resident in the UK will have an annual ISA investment allowance of £7,200. Up to £3,600 of that allowance can be saved in cash with one provider. The remainder of the £7,200 can be invested in stocks and shares with either the same or another provider. Or you could choose to invest all of the allowance in a stocks and shares ISA. It is possible for 16 and 17 year olds to hold the cash component of an ISA.
